Comparison
ChatGPT vs Claude for Coding
Short answer: Claude is often stronger on long-repo refactors; ChatGPT is fine for snippets and product copy. Neither is a production environment. The repo, tests, and authz still need a human.
Pick on the task
Greenfield UI: either. Multi-file refactor: Claude (or Cursor/Claude Code) tends to keep more context. Quick regex and “explain this error”: ChatGPT is enough.
Production does not care
See ChatGPT to production and Claude Code to production. Same punch list.
