How does geolocation matching work technically?
We use PostGIS (the geospatial extension for PostgreSQL, available in Supabase) to store user locations as geography points and run radius queries with ST_DWithin. This returns nearby users in <50ms even with millions of records.
How do you build the swipe card stack?
We use React Native Reanimated + Gesture Handler for the physics-accurate swipe animation. Cards render in a z-indexed stack with pan gesture detection — indistinguishable from native Tinder UX.
